The sweet life.
A trip this afternoon to the Borghese gardens made me realize that enjoying the simple pleasures in a city like Rome is what it’s all about. Placed above the densely packed streets of Rome, the villas and gardens offer a tranquil reprieve for those willing to climb up the sloping pathways. Here, a completely different atmosphere thrives on the structured landscape of open green space and long avenues of pebbled trail. It’s sometimes hard to believe a place like this exists just above all the hustle and bustle that fills the cobblestone streets of the old city.
