While we may be out and about visiting sites during the day, we promise that we are making progress on our final drawing project. We’ve being trying to figure out the best way to get the base map down on the “good paper” and this past week we finally did it! Shawn found a CAD file of the city of Rome and we were able to project the city streets onto a wall to the scale of our final drawings. Tracing the streets worked very well and it felt good to bust out the final paper. THINGS ARE GETTING REAL!
Here are a few process photos to share.
Ben mapping out a larger version of our map with the 10 different sections marked
To-scale pieces of paper to figure out how many pieces of good paper our map will require
Placing squares in the CAD file that represent final pieces of drawing paper
And then tracing the CAD file onto final pieces of paper to get a base map down
And then we drew these….. Or at least, Andrea Ponsi did.
